    Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:
The Alden Kindred of America, Inc., will honor a nurse, business leader, historian, and photographer at this year’s Speak for Thyself Awards dinner on Thursday, June 7, from 6-9 pm at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School.

Now in its 12th year, the Speak for Thyself Award recognizes exceptional women who, in the spirit of Mayflower Pilgrim Priscilla Mullins Alden, make their own choices.

There are four recipients for the 2018 awards:   Renee McInnes found her calling overseeing hospice services as CEO of the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice and serves on the South Shore Chamber's Board of Directors.  Nancy Capistran is a business leadership consultant and inspirational coach; ; Carolyn Ravenscroft, archivist for the Duxbury Rural & Historical Society, helped re-imagine Duxbury's Bradford House Museum to focus on women's history; and Elsie Trask Wheeler is a renowned photographer whose fascination for people and images has carried her to the far corners of the world.
